The corn believe or not is actually a whole grain, it’s a type of grass ; often referred to as a starchy vegetable , because of its carbohydrate content .
Although corn contains carbohydrates, it is good for you.
In fact, corn is rich in vitamin C, magnesium, B vitamins and carotids .
such as lute in a Corn contains very little fat ; less than 1 gram per serving .
and is a good source of fiber , clocking in around 3 grams per half cup .
Most of time in my home ; i cooked potatoes as side dish with meals .
some times i cooked as ; french fries , another time make ” mashed potato ” or ”potato salad ”, we know how much kids love potato but i like always make new recipes and change ,
For that i try some times to make corn as side dish for change also it’s healthy and almost every one love it , or i don’t know anybody didn’t love ,
it’s so simple , to prepare at home not take long time or difficult to cooked and be delicious for your family as potato for that , good chose when you want to replace potato .
corn on the cob boiled in milk
- 1 litter milk
- 3 cob corn
- 1 tablespoon butter
pinch of salt
- In sauce pan add the milk and butter, salt .
- add the corn cob to milk .
- turn on the fire ( medium heat ) .
- it's take about 20 min , and will you see cob absorb all liquid , turn off the heat and let it cool and serve it .
